Topographic Map Of Asia
The continent of Asia, extending from the Arctic Circle in the north to
the Indian Ocean in the south, contains a striking range of topographical
features. Asia is the largest continent and, with its many islands
and inlets, has over 100,000 miles of coastline. Asia's geography
ranges from high mountain peaks in the Himalayas to the Arabian Desert on
and around the Arabian peninsula and tropical areas in India and the
southeast. Northern Asia consists primarily of boreal forest as
well as tundra in the northeast and far north. Major Asian islands
include Borneo, Sumatra, and Japan, as well as Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and
the Philippines.
